Information

“TriCheck”, an in vitro self-testing kit, uses immunochromatography method for the qualitative test of hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin) in human urine samples to help the determination of pregnancy. In “TriCheck”, two test lines (test line 1 and test line 2) are used in hCG detection for the pregnancy test. The conventional pregnancy test kits using just one test line could produce false negative results due to “Hook effect”. Under this effect, no color reaction could be developed on the test line during the period of very high level of hCG (8~12 weeks after fertilization) since the color development of the test line is inhibited by the high level of hCG.
