A time-use cartridge or cassette which allows laboratories to prepare urine samples for Microscopic review without the need for Centrifugation.
Benefits:
1) No need to centrifuge the urine sample to get the sediment
2) The cartridge is leakproof and drift proof
The sample preparation works by loading 100 μl of urine sample at the inlet point (as
mentioned as “In”) in the chamber. The sample fills the chamber uniformly by capillary force.
The sample must be placed on a flat surface, ideally, on the cartridge and sample holder. The
sedimentation process is triggered by allowing the cartridge to be undisturbed. It takes 5 mins
for the sample to sediment completely.
Then the cartridge is ready for microscopic review either manually or through SigTuple's AI100 device.
